Biography

Born in Paris. The son of Catalan parents, he returned to Barcelona in 1922. He studied painting at the Llotja School of Fine Arts in this city. In 1945 he went to Paris. In this city, he attends various international collective halls. Later he settled in Brussels. He exhibited for the first time individually in the Barcelona salon La Pinacoteca in 1944. In 1949 he exhibited in the Sala Busquets and in 1950 and in 1951 in the Sala Gaspar. In 1947 and 1950 he exhibited in Brussels and in Antwerp. He participated in collectives held in the Partís Autumn Salon. He received various awards both in his hometown and in Paris, Belgium, London .... His painting is influenced by the French post-impressionists and by the "fauve" Duffy. His works appear in the National Art Museum of Catalonia, in the Spa Museum (Belgium) and in the Royal Museum in Brussels.
