Biography

Born London 1937 Attended Kingston School of Art (Surrey) 1958-1961 Graphic design course . Set up and ran a one-man one-wife commercial print workshop in Surbiton (Surrey) .In 1969 Ian moved to Cornwall (St Just-in-Penwith) and did seasonal farm work . Began to produce linoprints after about 1972 in a garden shed and sold in various local galleries and restaurants . Attended etching classes in St Ives with Roy Walker. 1979 purchased the former Bosullow School House - now Men-an-Tol Studio and bought an etching press where both myself and my late wife worked and sold prints. I have a particular interest in local landscape history and antiquities that I spent many happy times sketching for later production into linoprints and etchings. I have written a number of books on local churchway paths, walks to ancient sites etc. About 2006 sold all my print equipment and went into semi-retirement! "
