James “Jamie” Boswell Howard, born in New York City, was a multi-disciplined artist who created works in sculpture, oil painting, watercolor, and printmaking. He was the creator of Sommerville, an imaginary place in which several characters reside. Each of these characters produce work through which Jamie Howard has brought into our physical world. His work has been exhibited in Paris, Brisbane, Guatemala City, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Birmingham, Los Angeles, New York City, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
