About This Auction
Leading our prestigious Evening Auction this spring, Sotheby’s Hong Kong is honoured to present a distinguished selection of works by Modern and Contemporary Masters. Steering this spectacular collection is the masterpiece by Marc Chagall. Fleurs de printemps (La Cruche aux fleurs de printemps) is an iconic painting executed in 1930 during the artist's transformative second period in France. It combines the artist’s most iconic motifs and reveals his increasingly refined and unique pictorial vision of the mystical and the dreamlike. Alongside we are presenting Pierre-Auguste Renoir's museum-quality nude painting, in conjuction to the current Renoir exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Additionally, a group of niche blue-chip contemporary artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Christine Ay Tjoe, Nicolas Party, among others. The auction takes place in Hong Kong on 29 March at 7PM HKT. The Hong Kong Sales is presented in partnership with CELINE .
