About This Auction

The Ole Faarup Collection, assembled over decades by one of Europe’s most important collectors, reflects his pioneering eye for contemporary painting and his visionary support of artists of his generation. Works from the Silvie Fleming Collection reveal a strikingly personal vision that engages deeply with contemporary figuration and abstraction. Also included are works from the Crex Art Collection, renowned for its bold embrace of Minimal and Conceptual practices, led by Robert Mangold’s seminal early work Brown Wall (1964). Two works by Alex Katz are offered from the Alessandro Grassi Collection, celebrated for its pioneering focus on colour and abstraction. Further highlights include works by Toyin Ojih Odutola, Michaël Borremans, Albert Oehlen, Howard Hodgkin, Etel Adnan and Marwan.
