The gallery fosters the debate on the contemporary art panorama by promoting a dialogue between the national and international productions through regular exhibitions and parallel projects. Its program stimulates the creation and diffusion of emerging artistic practices and new curatorial researches which are specially designed for its bare concrete building that subverts the idea of a neutral exhibition space, project by the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha in collaboration with the office Metro Associated Architects.
