Pace Editions Inc. was founded in 1968 as an independent fine art print publishing and distribution company with a public gallery space on 57th Street in New York City. Subsequently several separate businesses were created that include, Pace Primitive dealing in African and Oceanic artworks, Pace Master Prints, a gallery dealing primarily in early 20th Century, late 19th Century prints, and a second contemporary print gallery was opened in Chelsea. Pace Prints is the name under which prints and multiples published by Pace Editions are distributed to dealers worldwide and through the two Pace Prints gallery locations in New York City. Both Pace Prints galleries maintain in their inventories a considerable variety of prints published by Pace Editions as well by many other print publishers.
