Adelaide Alsop Robineau (1865–1929) was a pioneering American artist known for her exceptional work in ceramics and china painting. Born in the United States, Robineau became a leading figure in American art pottery during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She is celebrated for her innovative use of American clays to create high-fire porcelain, a challenging medium that she mastered with great skill. Her work is characterized by intricate forms, detailed decorations, and unique glazes, which have earned her a lasting reputation in the field of ceramics. Robineau's most famous creation, the Scarab Vase, is a testament to her dedication and artistry, taking over 1000 hours to complete.
