Bring clients' art into the wealth picture

Art is a meaningful share of many clients' net worth and the part they document least. Help them build a proper record, and see it alongside the market.

Client Collections

A documented record for each client

Each client keeps their own catalogue: images, purchase history, market, replacement and insurance values in any currency, appraisals and documents. On the Business plan you can switch between the collections your clients share with you, so planning conversations start from the same facts.

  • Client switchingMove between client collections from one Business account.
  • Collection analyticsTotals of purchase, market and insurance values by artist, category and location.
  • Appraisals on fileEach appraisal kept with its date, value and report.

How It Works

How it fits your practice

Start with one client and grow from there.

  1. 01

    Client builds the record

Clients catalogue their collection themselves or import a spreadsheet, with your help or a specialist's.

  2. 02

    You review it

On the Business plan, switch to the client's collection to see values, documents and analytics.

  3. 03

    Plan with it

Export reports for reviews, estate and insurance planning, and track the client's artists at auction.

Why It Works

Art, treated like the other assets

  • Multi-currency valuesEach value keeps its own currency, for clients with collections in several countries.
  • Typed documentsInvoices, appraisals, certificates and condition reports attached to the right field.
  • LocationsWhere each work is, across homes and storage.
  • Market emailsDaily results and upcoming sales for the artists a client owns.
  • AI art advisorPlain-English answers about a collection and the market.
  • Two-factor sign-inSMS two-factor authentication on every account.

Questions from wealth managers and private banks

Why should wealth managers track clients' art?

For many high-net-worth clients art is a significant asset that is rarely documented to the standard of their financial holdings. A current record of what they own, where it is and what it is worth supports insurance, estate and liquidity planning.

Can I see several clients' collections from one account?

Yes. The Business plan lets you switch between the collections of clients who join your account.

Can I export collection data into our own systems?

Yes. Export any collection as CSV with the fields you choose, or as PDF reports and contact sheets.

Does ArtCollection.io provide valuations?

No. Values are recorded by the client or their appraiser. The auction database provides comparable sales and artist statistics to inform those values.

Which currencies are supported?

Purchase price and market, replacement and insurance values can each be recorded in their own currency.
