Alex Wolkowicz’s work explores her interrelationships with image, space and environment and the resulting emotional responses. Both tactile and documentary, her work moves through photography, sonic scapes, theatre, objects and representations of environments real and imagined. Evident processes include moving and still imagery, the sculptural and installation eventually leading to monumental, emotive outcomes. She lives in New York City which remains her base as she travels and works internationally and often in collaboration with other artists.
