Biography
Instinctive and impulsive, there are no limitations or rules in my work. I just paint what I want to paint and how I want to paint. The vivacity with which I work is completely unrestrained so that I am utterly absorbed, completely lost in the process, allowing the paint and my movement to take over entirely. My paintings are vibrant abstractions, elemental, energetic and emotionally raw. I paint from the heart. Drawing on the culmination of more than thirty years of artistic creativity and experimentation with one overriding and continuous element, my insatiable passion for painting. It has always been my belief that art does not have to be pretentious, or full of hidden meaning that needs an explanation; it merely has to delight the viewer.
