Biography
Bettina van Haaren (* 24. November 1961 in Krefeld) ist eine deutsche Malerin, Zeichnerin, Grafikerin und Hochschullehrerin. Bettina van Haaren studierte von 1981 bis 1987 Bildende Kunst an der Universität Mainz (Akademie für Bildende Künste) bei Dieter Brembs und Bernd Schwering. 1999 erhielt sie einen Lehrauftrag an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Seit dem Jahr 2000 lehrt sie als Professorin für Zeichnung und Druckgraphik an der Technischen Universität Dortmund und ist derzeit Institutsleiterin am dortigen Seminar für Kunst und Kunstwissenschaft. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Witten und Dortmund.
