My name is Bony Ramírez. I was born in Dominican Republic. I currently live and work in Perth Amboy, NJ, USA. My art distinguishes itself for its anatomically altered subjects that reflect on social and political topics. My works range from 2D mixed media paintings to polymer clay and resin sculptures. I use many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and oil pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Nature and my Dominican roots are the main sources of inspiration for me. I also tend to be inspired by interior design and architecture, as well as Renaissance art.
