Biography
I grew up in Texas, surrounded by the beauty of vast expansiveness, where I came to the realization that the sky was the landscape. It determined the ever-changing mood of the surrounding environment - both visceral and fleeting. The horizon line became the balance between above and below; a place that marks the line between heaven and earth. The sky and the horizon are the lasting and compelling inspirations for me. My work is also inspired by what are thought to be the components of the natural world: air, earth, fire, and water. I attempt to create a sensation more like a dream and less like a pictorial representation by celebrating the ever-changing mystery of nature from moment to moment.
