Chuck Forsman was born in Nampa, Idaho in 1944 in and received his BA and MFA degrees from the University of California at Davis. He is a Vietnam Veteran and taught painting at the University of Colorado from 1971 until 2008. Mr. Forsman is credited with being one of the earliest painters to link landscape painting with environmental issues. He has had over 50 one person exhibitions, half of which have been in museums and public art centers. He will soon have his fifth book published, four of which are photo books. His work is included in 20 museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Denver Art Museum and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. Mr. Forsman lives with his wife - architect, Kristin Lewis in Boulder, Colorado. They have two daughters, Shannon Forsman, who lives in Boulder and Chloe Woodruff who lives in Prescott, Arizona.
