Cipriano Cei

1864 – 1922

Biography

Cei was born near Venice and died in Rome. A pupil of Luigi Norfini, he came to be known for his amusing portraits of children and figures, somewhat in the way that J. G. Cei's portrait of Pope Benedict XV hangs in the Vatican art gallery.
