Biography
Claus Goedicke studied with Bernd Becher at the Art Academy Düsseldorf between 1989 and 1994 and won a travel grant from the Academy the year he finished. In 1995 he attended the Meisterschüler (Master Student) class with Becher. Between 1999 and 2001 Goedicke completed his post-graduate studies at the Kunsthochschule für Medien, Cologne, and in 2001 he was awarded a catalog grant from the Northrhine Westphalian Art Foundation. In 2008 he received the Berlin Senat studio grant. Goedicke lives and works in Berlin, his photography centers around the still life, to which he has found a surprisingly contemporary approach.
