Clifford Jean-Felix

b. 1972

Biography

Born in 1972 in Haiti, settled in Canada since a young age, Jean-Félix Clifford has been represented by Galerie Saint-Dizier since the beginning of his professional career in 2004. Born into a family where the arts occupied a special place, he quickly devotes himself to drawing and painting. In 1997, following a serious accident, Jean-Félix Clifford experienced a profound artistic and personal transformation that led him to develop the style, vision and production techniques that still characterize all of his works. For Jean-Félix, painting is a profoundly spiritual act: Art serves him to transmit the intimacy of moments of introspection. Aesthetically, his paintings are characterized by their high brightness, the use of a wide palette and the integration of relief and texture effects. Over the course of his career, the artist has participated in group and solo exhibitions, and he has had the privilege of being an artist invited to exhibit at the Cirque du Soleil headquarters and then at TOHU in 2007.
