Contemporary artist Constantine Popov is the direct descendant of significant Russian personages. His great-grandmother, Russian and Soviet poet Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva, is considered one of the most acclaimed poets of 20th century Russian literature. His great-grandfather, Ivan Vladimirovich Tsvetaev, was an art scholar, philologist, and founder of what is now known as the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art. Born in 1965 in a humble village close to the port city Vladivostok, acrylic painter Constantine Popov traveled around Europe before finally making Australia his longtime home.
