Corinne Beardsley
Biography
Corinne Beardsley's geological sculptures, installations, and performances reflect on our mortality and sensory embodiment through haptic records of clay. She holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from Hartford Art School. Corinne has exhibited in the United States and Internationally. Select solo and group exhibitions include Sargent Daughters/Shrine (New York), Flowers Gallery (New York), Site:Brooklyn, Central Academy of Fine Art Museum (China), M16 Artspace (Australia), Sawtooth Gallery (Australia), Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), Salisbury University Gallery (Maryland). She has been awarded fellowships and residencies including at the Vermont Studio Center, Red Lodge Clay Center (Montana), Central Academy of Fine Art (China), Babayan Culture House (Turkey), University of Tasmania (Australia) and Poh Chang University (Thailand). She directed Mosely Gallery and lectured at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and Salisbury University. Currently she writes for Frontrunner Magazine. Corinne is from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
