Cui Ruzhuo (崔如琢, born 1944) is a contemporary Chinese ink painter known for his work in traditional Chinese brush painting, particularly landscapes, flowers, birds, and his signature finger-painting technique (zhitou hua). Born in Beijing, he studied under renowned masters including Li Kuchan, and later spent time in the United States before returning to China. He’s recognized as one of the most commercially successful living Chinese artists, with his works regularly fetching tens of millions of dollars at auction — he has set multiple records for contemporary Chinese ink paintings, particularly through sales at Christie’s and Poly Auction in Hong Kong and Beijing.
