David Derish
Biography
I am a born-and-bred New Yorker. I got my BA from Columbia University and an MFA in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I'm an alumnus of Yaddo and the Vermont Studio Center, and I was a Neiman Fellow at the Ox-Bow School of Art in Michigan. I have written two books on color theory and studio practice. I work as a studio manager at the Cooper Union in New York, and paint out of my home studio in Manhattan.
