David Mosley
Biography
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, David Mosley moved to Watts when he was three. He studied at L.A. Trade Technical College, the University of Ghana, Africa, and Otis Art Institute. Specializing in charcoal drawings, many of Mosley's portraits of activists and musicians were made into posters, including Angela Davis, Muhammad Ali, and Malcolm X. Very little is known about Mosley in a biographical context, but much can be learned about his life and artistry in his own words via a video interview by PoliticalGraphics.com entitled, Decade of Dissent.
