Djavan Nascimento
Biography
Djavan Nascimento is a Brazilian-American Painter and Printmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. He received his BFA in Studio Art, Minor in Business Administration, and Certificate in Digital Media from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his MFA with Distinction in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where his concentration was Printmaking. He is co-curator of Third Room Projects with his partner, Rachel Chaldu. Djavan was an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center in 2017 and will be returning July 2020.
