Biography
Emil Scheibe was a Munich artist, living and working in Southern Germany and focusing on watercolor and oil painting. After studying in Munich at the academies of art and applied art, Scheibe worked as a painter in the following decades and occasionally as an art teacher. At the beginning of his career, the artist painted mainly landscapes full of atmosphere. Over the years his works changed and he became an expressionist and he is characterized as well as an artist of ‘Existenzieller Realismus’.
