Biography

I was born i n beautiful Guanajuato, Mexico. When I was 5 years old, my parents decided to move t o Mazatlán. Growing u p on the Pacific Coast I fell i n love with the ocean, but I always had the desire to go back t o Guanajuato t o pursuit m y dream o f becoming an Architect. I had, and still have, a passion for arts, building, design and creativity. At 1 8 years old, I moved t o Guanajuato and began m y college degree in Architecture at the University o f Guanajuato. During college, I rediscovered m y passion for painting. After graduating college, I lived and worked a s an Architect i n various cities, ending i n Tijuana, Mexico. In 2001, I moved t o Los Angeles, California working in construction and a bathroom/kitchen Designer. I moved t o Palm Springs from Long Beach, California during the pandemic and now I'm a full-time artist. Uncommitted to any particular medium, I have been working on paintings using oils, wax, and acrylic paint. I'm looking forward t o experiment with different techniques i n the future! I love traveling! One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new city is learn about its culture, food and art. I enjoy walking the streets discovering beautiful public art, visit galleries and museums. My inspiration for my work comes from artist around the world, especially from Frida Kahlo.
