Never one to shy away from the grotesque, Frederick Næblerød’s works are expressive to the point of revulsion. Næblerød works in multiple mediums such as oil and acrylics, glue, plaster, drawings, sculptures, and site specific installations to create his social and political references to society and current events. Occasionally self-referential he has been known to create pieces that are inherently self-critical such as his objects covered in gold as a reflection of society’s addiction to sex and desire.
