Biography
Gorka Chillida studied Fine Arts at the European University of Madrid. The sculptor Carlos Lizariturry, his uncle, initiated him into stone sculpture in Croatia. He later collaborates with his father Pedro Txillida with whom he learned to work iron. He returned to Madrid to start in the world of design at the European Institute of Design, and worked as a designer. He moved to Barcelona, where he dedicated himself to furniture design.
