Graham Caldwell
Graham Caldwell is a New York-based artist using glass as a sculptural medium, working in an additive way in which components build into networks and systems. He employs ancient processes such as glass blowing and mirroring, in conjunction with fabrication using modern manufactured materials and industrial techniques like welding and plating. Through glassblowing and mirror making, his practice is concerned with manipulating and adjusting our relationship to a familiar material, as well as addressing more generally imperfect, interconnected organic systems. Graham has had solo shows at Martos Gallery in NY; G Fine Art, The Millennium Arts Center, and Addison Ripley Fine Art in Washington DC; Bank in Los Angeles; Circuit 12 in Dallas; and Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum in CA. Collections include Arlington County, VA Public Art Permanent Collection, Arsenal Montreal, ART in Embassies, U.S. Department of State, Permanent Acquisition for US Embassy in Skopje, Macedonia and Kyiv.
