Jackie Furtado
Biography
Jackie Furtado is a New York situated artist whose photographic work examines and redefines symbols of home spaces near and far. Often the artist works directly with her family and the western landscapes in which they live. Her work has exhibited nationally and internationally with: Of the Afternoon, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Higher Pictures, Secret Dungeon, and Elijah Wheat Showroom. Her photos have been noted in: Bad at Sports, ArtNet, The New Yorker, Lenscut, ArtFCity, among others. Jackie received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and will complete her MFA at Yale School of Art in 2021.
