Biography

I am a painter living in Seattle with my husband, two daughters and two dogs. My studio is in downtown Seattle in the vibrant artist community at Pioneer Square. I was born and raised in India and have been in the United States since the early 90’s. With a background in pure and applied Mathematics, I taught Mathematics at Seattle University and at a high school in India for many years. In 2015, I made the instantaneous decision to paint full time. Making art is like breathing to me. I have been sketching and painting since I was little. I used to sketch my friends and make caricatures of teachers at my school. I taught myself to paint with oils in my high school years. Since then, I have learned and worked with other mediums of art, making enough pieces to really understand each one.
