Jonny Niesche's work being post minimal and materially fetishistic, using glitter, mirrors, translucent custom-dyed fabrics and welded steel armature — he explores the expanded field of painting and abstraction. It evokes a juncture between painting and sculpture and aims to bring forth associations from every type of experience, recasting our understanding of the effects of light and colour on the senses. Digital colors and shapes develop towards a physical experience, they radiate off the screen and reflect an external mood that is received and decoded by the viewer.
