Justin Gilzene aka CLUB BUM is a Visual Artist from the Bronx, NY. As a Pop Conceptual Artist that uses acrylic paints to build bold and resolute textures into his work. Gilzene has also developed his own technique for using acrylics to create handcrafted sculptures. In his works you can see an amalgamation of influences including Pop Culture, a range of Historical and Cultural references. Also adding to the depth of his painting is Gilzene's extensive study of his own ancestral heritage. The thematic focus of his artwork covers a variety topics like miseducation, the misconceptions of Black culture in the past, present, & future.
