Karen J Revis
Biography
Karen J Revis is a painter, printmaker and paper maker living in New York City. She has completed residencies at Pyramid Atlantic, Henry Street Settlement, the Women’s Studio Workshop, BACCAS in Italy, and was a SIP Fellow at the Robert Blackburn Workshop. Karen studied fine art at the Corcoran School of the Arts in Washington D.C. and received a BFA from Pratt Institue, Brooklyn, NY. Her work is featured in The Art of Encaustic Painting: Contemporary Expression in the Ancient Medium of Pigmented Wax by Joanne Mattera and is in numerous public and private collections including Alliance Capital Management, New York / The Venetian Macau Hotel, Macau / The Metropolitan Club, Boston MA and Winston & Strawn, San Francisco, CA. She is also on the board of the Women's Studio Workshop and the planning committee of Creative Conversations at the Robert Blackburn Workshop.
