Laura Santiago
Biography
Laura Santiago is a Brazilian painter based in Brooklyn, whose works explore the notions of atmosphere, memory and space. The paintings are characterised by the lived in quality of empty spaces, achieved through a careful use of color and expressive brushstrokes. Santiago holds a Certificate in Painting by the Art Students League of New York and a Bachelors in Graphic Design by PUC-Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). In 2017 She was the recipient of the Fantasy Fund Grant for a one moth Residency at Paris American Academy, in France.
