Biography

In her work, Silberman examines notions of how the human condition expresses itself as manifested through community, identity, popular tradition and ritual. Silberman resides in Brooklyn and has exhibited widely in New York and abroad. She is a faculty member at the International Center of Photography and holds an MFA from Bard. She is the recipient of residencies at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, The Camera Club of New York, A-Z West, and Art Garda. Silberman’s work has been featured in the New York Times Magazine and Vogue Italia and some of her clients include The New Yorker, NYLON Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Vice, Details Magazine, and Bust Magazine.
