Biography

LeoNilde Carabba was born on November 28, in 1938 in Monza, she lives and works in Milan, Italy.The first solo exhibitions date back to 1961, supported by great artists such as L. Fontana, H. Chin, R. Crippa, E. Baj, Turcato, Tancredi, J. Fautrier, P. Manzoni, Christo and C. Accardi, her contemporaries . In the 1970s in Milan, during “Feminism”, she actively participated in exhibitions and conferences at the “Women’s Movement” and in 1975 she was co-founder of the “Women’s Bookstore”. The first experiments with light began in 1966, through use of glass microspheres, phosphorescent and fluorescent colors, which return to the silence of the night and connect with the observer.
