Biography
Painter Les Rogers (American, b. 1966) crafts opulent works that straddle the line between tradition and decadence. His chief interest lies in contemporary gestural abstraction, achieved through the constant exploration of line, form, color, and dynamism. Rogers, who received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1989, is known for creating large, decisive works that explore the boundaries between frame and painting. His works have been exhibited at the New Jersey Museum of Contemporary Art, in the Centro Cultural Andratx, Spain, and at Nancy Margolis Gallery, New York.
