Biography
Lucía Vidales is an artist based in Mexico City. Her work employs fiction, history, and imagination to develop a personal universe around painting and color. Holding an MA in Visual Arts from the National Autonomous University of México, she was also a resident for graduate studies at the Fine Arts Faculty of the Complutense University of Madrid. Her BFA studies in Fine Art were undertaken at ‘La Esmeralda’ National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking of the National Institute of Fine Arts, Mexico. She has participated in over sixty solo and group exhibitions in Mexico and abroad at different museums, galleries and independent art spaces. She has been a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts program on numerous occasions, as taken part of the Apex Art Fellowship in New York.
