Ludovic Coutinho

Biography

Ludovic Coutinho was born in the south of France, to a Portuguese father and a Reunionese mother. He currently resides on Reunion Island where he spent most of his teenage years. After having oriented himself towards an unsuccessful artistic career, studying Fine Arts at the University of Toulouse and Art History in Lyon, Ludovic returned to an island life where he spent a year in the army. In addition to his artistic production inspired by painting and photography, he is currently working as an educator for children in the context of child protection. In September/October 2017, he participated in the exhibition "DADACLUBONLINE" at the Galerie Charlot in Paris where he presented a reinterpretation of the Dadaist movement. At the same time, he concretized a personal project, that of opening his professional fashion photography company. In early 2019, after several creative setbacks, Ludovic Coutinho shut down his fashion photography company to focus on a return to artistic sources, adding an additional medium to his production range: video-performance.
