Ludovic Nkoth
Born 1994
On October 16 1994; Ludovic Nkoth (LNkoth) was born in Cameroon, West Africa. Growing up in African, Ludovic learned to express himself creatively at a very young age. Through his vibrant use of color and ability to capture life through a distinct lens, Ludovic’s past time was consumed with rough sketches of the beautiful cities of Cameroon. At the age of 12, Ludovic moved to the US, bringing with him an artistically brilliant mind and a passion for art. In 2007, a young artist emerged when his middle school teacher noticed Ludovic’s gift and insisted that he joined as many art classes as possible. Exploring his artistic abilities, Ludovic established a distinct style of brush strokes and use of color. His style consists of depicting energy and emotion through color choices; creating expressive art, to stimulate the viewer’s mind, compelling him/her to interact with the piece. By the time Ludovic goes to Dorman High school, his work reaches new levels, exceeding expectations, thanks to the many Art Teachers who helped him tremendously. He admits he will not have won all accolades if it was not for Mrs. Amy Workman; Mrs. Heather Walden; Mrs. Susan Eleazer and Mr. Robert Urban. These mentors helped to open his mind, setting him free from artistic boundaries. During his time at Dorman High School, Ludovic was the Gold Medal winner of the State of South Carolina Scholastic Art Program; he was also the National winner of the Scholastic national Program; this program comprises prestigious artists like Kay Walkingstick and Andy Warhol. Today, Ludovic attends University of South Carolina Upstate, where he is majoring in Art Education, in hopes to spread his passion for art, along with his artistic skills to a much younger generation. As of now, Ludovic continues to grab the attention of collectors and surrounding galleries, with his astonishing work throughout the South.
