Madeline Walker is a Visual Artist & Educator based in Bellevue, Kentucky. She creates Sculptural Paintings and Installations that reflect inner and often unseen worlds, pairing digital fabrication with traditional mold-making in unusual ways throughout the process. Walker's work has been featured and interviewed by Articulate by PBS, Femme Art Review, Field Projects, The Other Art Fair, and Molly & Friends Gallery. She was the recipient of a 3 year Art/STEM MFA Fellowship at Utah State University from 2014-2017. She then held positions in Upstate as Lecturer at SUNY Oneonta, and Technician at Hartwick College between 2017 and 2019. While living in New York, she received a merit grant for a residency at Vermont Studio Center in May of 2018. In the summer of 2019 she moved back to the midwest, where her studio was based at Wave Pool Gallery leading up to the quarantine. As she prepared for her first solo booth at The Other Art Fair in New York, the lockdown led to her moving out of that studio and into the renovation of her detached garage, which she developed and fully moved into during the quarantine. She became a Socially Distant Art Resident during that time while she completed new works for her first solo exhibition with Dab Art, the LA based gallery who began representing her work in 2017.
