Mariana Edinger
Biography
Contemporary painter based in Brooklyn, New York. Mariana has lived in New York since 2013, where she was selected one of the few artists for the National Academy of Arts (N/A) intensive painting program on which she received an Honor Mention Prize. Prior to that, she received her B.F.A. in Fine Arts at Belas Artes and also a B.F.A in Visual Communication both in Brazil. Mariana has participated frequently in auctions, art talks, open studios and international galleries and museum exhibitions. Her work has been auctioned by Paddle 8 at the Gala event honoring the painter Eric Fischl. Mariana exhibited at the National Academy Museum in New York. Ms. Edinger’s painting is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts (MuMA) collection in her hometown and she is represented by the leading Brazilian gallery Boiler Galeria selected by MOMA PS1 as participant gallery for the Pinta Miami art fair. Exhibited at Contra Galleries in Chelsea at the CBS “ best art winter show in New York”, Brilliant Champions Gallery in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Central Gallery and others. Mariana has attended a few artist’s residencies, one in New York – Mothership NYC and LFC Studio in Berlin – Because of her unique style, sensibility, powerful brushstrokes and rich layers of colors her paintings are with renowned and prominent collectors in the U.S, Brazil and Europe.
