Biography
Martín García de la Huerta studied photography at the FotoForum professional institute. He then continued his photographic studies under the advanced photography workshop of prominent national photographer Luis Poirot and studied Photoshop and digital photography at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Throughout his career he has developed within the photography of advertising, sports, landscape, industry photography and photography projects such as Fine Art. After 20 years photographing the sea as a theme, García de la Huerta presents his project at Ekho Gallery where he gives us an approach to the sensitivity of the sea and a fine art photography that yearns for pictorial romanticism. The artist communicates a tranquility, however, we also see a break and a spontaneity. Through his photos we can see a static movement but with the look leads us to follow the movement and end the shock of the waves. Photographs that represent the fleeting also hang like a self-portrait of the photographer. "The sea comes to be my model where it plays as a mirror for my different internal emotions, a faithful ally that reveals little by little who I am, is basically self-portraying myself in my different emotional states" García de la Huerta makes mention. According to Emilio García de la Huerta: Martin gives us today a mixture of intuition and fine engineering to communicate his unique vision, is seen in his work, which is defined as a "server" communication; just as Van Gogh relates his brush painting "only".
