Mary Raap
Biography
Mary Raap is an artist who works at the intersection of painting and weaving. She earned her MFA from The New York Academy of Art in 2007 and BFA from Iowa State University in 2005. She was awarded a post-graduate fellowship and residency at The New York Academy in 2007-2008. Her work has been exhibited in group shows nationally and abroad including at The Knockdown Center (Queens), Stolen Space Gallery (London), Trestle Gallery (Brooklyn), Museo de la Cuidad de Mexico (Mexico City), The Art House (Chicago), and Hunter College’s Times Square Gallery. She was recently a finalist for the Hopper Prize and featured in the Hopper Prize Journal. Mary lives and works in Brooklyn.
