Mike Edwards is an established artist based in Brighton UK. Well known for his portraits made of text - Mike recently completed a major portrait of Lord Attenborough made from the names of Hollywood stars - now on permanent display at the new Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts in Brighton. Mike’s work is in collections all over the world - including the collections of Roger Taylor, Zoe Ball and the late publisher Felix Dennis. David Bowie signed Mike’s unique typographic portrait of Aladdin Sane - which went on to raise phenomenal funds for charity at auction. An exceptional painter - Mike started out as a professional artisan artist before developing his own body of work. Amongst many other things, he’s created a stage set for rock band Blur and produced commissioned artworks for Bacardi, Budweiser and Urban Outfitters.
