Biography
Nathan Ritterpusch is a painter born in 1976 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. After graduating from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in 1999 the artist lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Since 2000 Nathan has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Ritterpusch's work touches on themes of mortality, the ephemeral nature of beauty, desire and the malleability of perception. Based on a combination of personal and found photography, representational painting and abstract patterning are intuitively collaged together to create the finished work.
