Nicolas Sanin
I'm an artist and a player! but not a gambler... I'm fascinated by the idea of chance, and the questions behind the concepts of "randomness" and "order". As you can see, I love dice and other "chance" generation systems. Also setting up games to explore the tension between chaos and order, that is what we face in life every day... For more information please visit my website and or contact me. I studied fine arts for 2 years at Universidad Católica de Chile and graduated with a fine arts degree from the Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia in 2007. I have shown my work in many important institutions and galleries, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, Galería El Museo in Colombia, ARTBO art fair in Colombia, Saint Germain Station in Paris, La Feria del Millon in Colombia, and The Clemente Soto Velez in New York. I won the IILA (Latin American-Italian Institute) Photography prize in 2011 and the "La Nuit" Photography category Liberation-Apaj award in 2013. I was also a resident at IILA in Rome in the fall of 2011. I graduated from the ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program) at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in May, 2019. I'm currently working as a full-time New York-based artist at my home studio in Manhattan and also devoted to Photography.
