Biography

Born in Honolulu, Slick has been in LA since 1986 destroying and redesigning his way into the history books. After leaving Art Center College of Design in ‘?89, he quickly gained notoriety as an early pioneer in the “streetwear” industry, with his brand 3rd Rail, later Fuct, Shaolin Worldwide and fast forward to his current brainchild, DISSIZIT. His “LA HANDS” logo has become an icon in LA culture. He has collaborated with Disney, Adidas, Ford and Microsoft just to name a few. Whatever it may be, sculpture, textile design, branding, print making, installations, murals or painting his “fine” art, Slick always stays true to the graffiti aesthetic and ethic, fusing the grimy rawness of the streets with popular culture with a dark twist.
