Raul Rebolledo
Biography
Raúl Rebolledo lives and works in Guadalajara. He began his career as a plastic artist in 2007 with training as an architect. He focuses his work on the reinterpretation and distortion of symbols generated by fractures in current economic and social systems. Analyze violence, death, the art system, speculation or financial markets, giving them an aesthetic veil that actually covers dark contents. He has participated in collective and individual exhibitions in galleries and fairs in Mexico, Italy, Switzerland and the USA such as Zona Maco (CDMX), ACME Hall (CDMX), Anonymous (Miami), Arte Careyes (Costa Alegre), Art at Tell (St Gallen ), WU (Vienna), Raúl Anguiano Museum (Guadalajara), Cabañas Museum (Guadalajara) among others. He has won the Perrier award in Zona MACO and production award in UnM2. Some of his works are part of private and public collections such as that of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
